By downloading, installing, or using BiteCam ("the app", "the service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the app.

To use BiteCam, you must create an account using Sign in with Apple or an email address and password. You are responsible for:
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
BiteCam offers a free tier and paid subscription plans:

Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policy.
We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect active subscription periods.
BiteCam, including all its features, data, and AI-generated content, is not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or error-free. The application and all information it provides are offered on an "as is" basis.
Our AI vision technology analyzes photos to identify food items and estimate nutritional content. However:
You use BiteCam and rely on its data entirely at your own risk. The developer assumes no responsibility or liability for any decisions you make based on information provided by the app. You may adjust portions and nutritional values manually after each scan. We strongly recommend using BiteCam as a general guide rather than relying on it for precise dietary calculations.
BiteCam is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The app is intended for general wellness and informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
When you use BiteCam, you may submit content including food photos, meal descriptions, and other data ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you acknowledge and agree that:
We will never sell your identifiable photos or personal data to third parties. Photos are processed securely and access is limited to automated systems providing the service.
All content, features, and functionality of BiteCam — including the app design, code, AI models, branding, and documentation — are owned by Filip Ruzicka and are protected by intellectual property laws.
The BiteCam name, logo, and related marks are trademarks. You may not use them without prior written permission.
By you: You may delete your account at any time through the app's Profile screen or by contacting us. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
By us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or if required by law. We will provide notice unless immediate action is necessary to protect the service or other users.
Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Sections on intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law survive termination.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything that cannot be excluded by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Filip Ruzicka and BiteCam from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Czech Republic, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Czech Republic.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you also enjoy the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
